SharePoint Agent Licensing From January 6, 2025, to June 30,2025, enterprise tenants with 50 or more Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses will receive 10,000 free Agents in SharePoint queries for unlicensed users every month as a trial.

Users without Microsoft 365 Copilot license can create and access agents Trial is enabled by default, but admins can disable if needed using Set-SPOCopiIotPromoOptInStatusPowerSheII command SharePoint Agent Licensing -There are 2 types of SharePoint Agent Licensing Microsoft 365 Copilot Licensed users : No additional cost to consume, create and consume agents.

1. Microsoft 365 Copilot Non-licensedusers : This will use pay-as-you-gomessage-based billing to consume SharePoint agents.
2. Configure SharePoint Agent Consumption Meter Admins need to configure Agents for SharePoint pay-as-you-go service if users(without M365 Copilot license) need to be able to create agents for SharePoint.In Microsoft 365 Admin Center go toSettings > Org Settings > Pay-as-you-go services. Requires Azure subscription wit hresource group created for the billingp lan. Select Azure subscription, ResourceGroup and Region. Configure SharePoint Agent Consumption Meter.
